NYC forever
Do yall recognize the blue heart shape-ish not a sock in the lower lefthand corner of the Harlot's picture? Yup that's my cables and os sweater. I survived vacation- barely. We had a mainly good time. I can't tell you how the games came out, though.
I rode the subway, did Times Square, Rockafeller Center, and of course Central Park. I got there early and chatted with a few other early birds, Much yarn and socks were displayed. I spoke to Kay of Mason Dixon. (I asked if she was the Mason of the pair.) My sweater is in two pictures on M/D and so is the tip of my shoe.
After hangin with the knitters for a while about 15 of us walked over to Knitty City. Some really pretty yarn- but you know what I came out of the shop with? I skein of Lambs Pride Bulky. And the Harlot's book. I can't buy yarn without a purpose. The Bulky is a color I have been waiting for the Shoppe to get back in. They had so much seasilk. It was so pretty. And a sample of the scarf Jessie is making. Plus some of the seasilk bulky. Nice. I rode the subway home myself. One of the chicks was a local who told me where the closest station was (not even a whole block away).
We went up the Empire State Building last night. We got in line at 11 oclock and didn't get back to the room until 1 AM. Lori had to be up at 6am to catch her shuttle. So tired am I.

Sounds like it was a fabulous trip! I wish I could have gone, but I was already signed up for a different knitting event in St. Louis.
I'm jealous (but I guess if you pressed me I'd say I'm glad you had a good time.)
Well said.
